In inverse proportion to the numbers of Covid cases that continue to decrease, the number, the intensity of, and the repercussions for non-compliance of mask mandates are increasing. The rhetoric associated with bucking those mandates are off the charts. Even vaccinations are declared an invalid reason to not wear masks. You see, masks are now the official sign of submission and obedience to the regime, The Bidening; they are unmoored from any methodical application of science.
So why wouldn’t Biden™ want to take advantage of the good news that daily new infections in the US are currently at about the same level as last summer and dropping? While there is little reason why he could take credit for any of it, that’s never stopped a politician before. He could declare victory, watch the economic recovery, declare even more victory and be on his way to greater glory, instead, he – his people that is, are flooring the accelerator and driving this car, America, toward the cliff with determination and purpose. They want economic and social ruin and that requires a fearful population.
The real reason is what comes next, after Covid, after the current mask hype. I don’t pretend to know exactly what’s in store but based on their pattern of behavior today, they’re planning further events and social control mechanisms that will require the subservience of the greatest number of people. The fear and control responses of mask mandates perform this exact utility. Proof? If you need ‘proof’ before you move a finger to protect your own economic wellbeing and civil liberties, their mission is complete with you. When you see a pattern that doesn’t make sense, that defies long standing practice, even self-serving practice, an alert person – not of dull mind, would ask why. There is nothing arbitrary, accidental, or unplanned about the administration’s Covid and mask posturing.
For a clue of the next step, look at the strident comments of Michael Moore and Keith Olbermann, suggesting the federal government should withhold vaccines from the state of Texas because they’re cancelling mask and state mandated business closures by March 10th. The general liberal reaction has been like an ape fit; how dare a state take control of their own health mandates and economy and defy our Lord and Savior Dr. Anthony Fauci. Moore and Olbermann’s response might seem just a little more extreme than the general pandemonium, but the direction of a proposed punishment is insightful. If a government would withhold medicine, what else would they withhold? Money and funding? Of course. The federal government confiscates revenue derived within the state and denies due return. Many states are already net losers. But what if they take it up a few notches: sanctions, restriction of commerce, denial of other services. There are a lot of ways to subjugate a state or region but many of them haven’t been used in modern US history. That could be about to change. Somehow, I think Texas will do just fine because Texas is Texas. Unfortunately, many other state’s executives are not of the same independent character.
So how about just wearing that ‘damn mask’? Stop being difficult, think of others! Here’s why: Some masks had some utility in some situations. Mandates proscribed ineffective masks where real ones were needed and far exceeded the necessity for where real masks were effective. Now, all conditions are rapidly changing, especially as more and more people are vaccinated. I believe in science. If someone tells you that a mask is required and that a vaccine does not provide a reason to not use a mask, they are in flagrant denial of science. Masks are not effective but vaccines are very effective. The point here is that when government mandates are put forth as the science, in direct opposition to what real science concludes, we’re in huge trouble down the road.
So why should we not wear masks out of an abundance of caution? That’s a justification that could be used to impose virtually any transient or permanent denial of your constitutional and human rights. But more than that, there’s something even more disturbing. Once you’ve convinced a critical mass of a population to dependably be fearful, compliant, and obedient, you’ve opened the door to a populace that will sit by idly and tolerate atrocities. Lost rights are just the beginning tip of the iceberg; from there it progresses to state sanctioned persecution under the guise of such euphemisms as ‘controlling ‘terrorism’ and from there, there is no bottom. I’m sure that for the hundreds of millions of people in twentieth century Europe and Asia that were caught up in fascist and communist movements, they were only concerned for ‘peace’, order, their families welfare and safety, next week’s meals, their kids future; and when it came time to betray their neighbor not playing by the regime rules, it was still all so justified; even as they loaded those neighbors into the train cars never to return.
