Where are they?
Within many religions, Christian persuasions, and sects, a great many claim to have a higher mission to protect the powerless. This is by no means an exclusive conservative faith vs. liberal faith belief. It should be a commonality between them all with only some variations in what and how they address the wrongs in the world. When it comes to pandemic fascism, I hear nothing from any faith perspective.
What, may you ask, is pandemic fascism? I’m glad you asked. It’s the initiative of governments and states to rob, beat, plunder, and destroy the lives and livelihoods of its citizenry based on public health (Covid) policies, deployed with the express purpose of forced political conformity.
For example:
Did you know that right now, 72% of New York City blacks cannot legally enter any city eating establishments due to vaccine mandates? Where are the liberal civil rights warriors now? Where are the churches, the Unitarians, the Baptist? Do the Buddhist and Hindus have any say in the matter?
Also in New York and across the country, medical professionals, the ones who put their lives on the line during the 12 pre-vaccine months to save your life if you were hospitalized with Covid, are being fired if they refuse the vaccine, even if they attained natural immunity from contracting Covid while saving your life in 2020 and beyond. If there were ever a justice no-brainer, wouldn’t this be it? Where are the Episcopalians, the Muslims?
In Australia, they have a 100% indoor-outdoor mask mandate. Anyone in public caught without a mask or caught protesting the mandates are beat down in the street, hog tied, stripped of their children, and thrown into prison. The government has totally appropriated Covid to justify a police state dictatorship. I’m pretty sure most people have not seen this on the evening news, but look for the videos on Revolver. They’re difficult to watch, the more so because this was supposedly a ‘western democracy.’ Where is the outcry here? Are the Methodist, the Presbyterians, the Congregationalist, or the Jews stepping up to make the world aware that Nazi-like tactics are being used against innocent people?
In our own country, vaccine mandates are being indiscriminately pushed on whole groups, federal government workers, universities, and colleges. It’s even planned for children in the entire state of California, soon to spread elsewhere in spite of the fact that the Covid vaccine has been demonstrated to be more harmful than Covid for children, and yet the mandates are spreading, and the church is silent. Is no one concerned that millions of people who have homes and families, children’s mouths to feed, could be suddenly left destitute and disenfranchised due to the Biden administration (and progressive state governments) being hell bent on subjugating their political enemies?
Where are the people of faith, the ones that claim to protect the vulnerable? Certainly, the conservative-oriented churches are in the crosshairs of persecution. They were treated badly during the lockdown phase, suppressed from gathering while casinos and left-wing rioters were given free passes. Now, they just seem defensive, and cowed.
I chose to be vaccinated and many others did so as well. It is not risk-free and it does not prevent all cases of Covid. Those who had contracted Covid and lived have stronger immunity than those who are vaccinated. Many other countries accept that as valid protection. Of those that choose to forgo or wait on a vaccine, they should not have their lives destroyed by a gestapo government trying to force their hand for uncertain mass medical outcomes. Our government should not be using Covid to force political submission or as a crude tool to disproportionately affect its political enemies, minorities be damned if caught up in the collateral damage. To all of this, the church and religion should have something to say, not just standing on the side to hold the cloak of Führer Biden.
