According to the Interweb dictionary, ‘Oxford Languages’, a coup is defined as:
‘a sudden, violent, and unlawful seizure of power from a government’
Another rendering,
‘a sudden and decisive change of government illegally or by force’
I would propose a further definition,
‘a seizure of governmental authority by violence or deception’
Let’s parse this a moment; at a base conceptual level, a coup is ‘illegal’ so also using it as an adjective is redundant. Force is an obvious possible component. The idea that a deception can be employed as the basis for a coup is also well grounded. There is a whole body of criminal and civil law where deception is the mechanism for unjust acquisition and thus, it provides a more accurate descriptor for a coup that lacks an element of violence. This brings us to the Biden (and Obama) administration.
Pursuant to the administration of the 46th Presidential tenure, there are multiple points of violation to consider, constituting a coup. The most immediate is within the office of Biden.
After Bidens last debate collapse, and after the first wave of defections from the administration of lies, that everything was and always had been just fine, that Biden is always vibrant, engaged and in charge, insiders started to talk. We learned that much of his supporting staff is traumatized [no pity here but that’s for another post]. We learned that Joe is non-functioning before mid-morning and beyond midafternoon. We learned that he has the raging temper, especially for any bad news or contrary advise. He doesn’t remember names of even regular associates. I could go on but the most key is that his staff withholds most detailed information on all but the most high priority foreign relations matters. For all else, he’s served a superficial description of what will be rendered in his name and after it has passed over his desk and out the oval office [or day room] door, his staff considers it actionable as a Presidential decision.
For those of us that have watched his publicly recorded performance since his basement hiding days during Covid and beyond, none of this is much of a surprise. We knew he was crucially incapable of the workload required of a President. We knew many of his senior staff were direct imports from the Obama administration. We knew who was pulling the strings. If someone fell down a well 13 years ago and emerged in January 2021, they would not have needed to know anything of his mental state or campaign, to know that he either had a brain transplant or that the actions he sponsored were not from the ‘same person’. We knew others were running his administration. We just had to fill in the blanks about what it might have looked like at ground level. Now we know.
While I suggested that it was no surprise for close watchers of his official acts, maybe I could confess some mild shock at that reality on the ground. While we cannot watch a day in the life of Joe Biden on a close circuit feed, the characterization now reaching our ears is disturbing enough to invoke the word ‘coup’, coup by deception. If we could go back a couple of weeks and pretend that Joe didn’t perform as poorly as he did, so as to kick off a mutiny of backers for the 2024 campaign, who were otherwise knowingly lying about their own clear perception of Joes degeneration, that decline might still be nosediving and yet covered up. The staff would not have started leaking the goods. At what point then were they going to wake up the rest of the country? To what extent would they have gone continuing to carry out the actions and the agenda of the office of the President of the United States? When he would not remember any of their names? When they had to spoon feed him 3 meals of paste a day? Nevertheless, the White House staff, from high level appointments down to the pimply faced antifa-looking interns were well beyond the scope of simple support of the President. They were and to this day are making unilateral decisions exclusive to the office of the President of the United States. That is a coup.
In this equation, Jill Biden and Hunter Biden get a special dishonorable mention. Jill Biden has publicly boasted of fulfilling some Presidential duties and is now the one fully and principally responsible for barricading the Biden family in the White House, making herself the surrogate President. Hunter Biden is now reportedly the defacto Chief of Staff, quickly partitioning off even some of team Obama from their regular ‘duties’ of running the Biden administration.
The rest of the elected government is not treating this with any of the gravity that should be exercised. They are persistently delinquent in responding to the devolution happening right in front of their eyes. The administration and Democrats particularly are compromised and culpable, knowing that they fostered this progressive coup even from the beginning of the term, seemingly safe in the privacy of a sealed-off White House and a complicit regime press running constant cover for them; delighted and free to force their own agenda in the name of senile Joe.
I don’t claim the ultimate wisdom to know if it is possible, preferable, or best to prosecute those that have tendered this coup of the United States Presidency, the office, of which Joe Biden has lent his own hand of complicity, a whole other dimension of untrod legality. For the time being, the first step is the forced eviction of all involved, but particularly the Biden family, the greedy corrupt traitors that also enriched themselves and sold American policy and national best interest to the highest bidders. They’re now like ‘Bonny and Clyde’, increasingly cornered. Their end will be a historical spectacle and then all the rest of those responsible will also be laid bare. Thanks Joe, Jill, Hunter.
