The United States is now populated by a preponderance of idiots. I’ve written before about the generational swing toward socialism, which is also well documented by others. This has been obvious to anyone that cares, for quite some time, but now hard numbers are accumulating, as reported by a Fox Business piece. This article suggests that the swing is not generational but is based on current party affiliation. In fact, there’s no mention of age demographics at all, which suggests an additional dynamic. If we assume the numbers of people skewing away from capitalism and toward socialism represent a cross-section of all ages — the elder among them previously not having embraced socialism — then that indicates to me that they’re mindless sheep who’ll follow their loudest ‘leaders’ into anything without counting the costs. When the old Dems were about Big Labor, they were about it too. Abortion, sure thing, newest cause. Universal healthcare? No cost is too much. Now their leadership wants socialism and communism, well ‘sock it to me baby.’ Democrats like this have no intellectual root, and unfortunately, true moderate Dems are a virtually extinct species. Most all of them have drunk the Kool-Aid long and hard. We could also filter the Democrat party shift through race and that would reveal different but similar dynamics as there are socio-economic groups that have been conditioned to expect unearned equity over equal opportunity. Most people will almost invariably vote themselves a paycheck. The more who do so only lend further credence to the hesitant among them. Regardless of the cause, young or old, to the extent that the trend continues, we’re screwed.
Idiots.
We’re past the point where anyone can point out the modern failures of socialism and the attendant poverty that will be visited on all that mindlessly embrace it for the inth time. They don’t have the bandwidth to process it. They literally voted for the $1,400 check and don’t care about the $14,000+ per person indebtedness accrued to each person courtesy of an administration printing money. But it’s more complicated than just money. Think of $ as the horizontal axis. The vertical axis is even more dangerous. Accompanying money are the pursuit of status, privilege, and power. Socialism isn’t devoid of the corrupt pursuit of money, far from it; it’s exponentially magnified and concentrated into a ruling class who feels the need to be justly compensated for the ‘sacrificial’ role of ruling over the miserable masses who are manipulated, controlled, and denied. Witness the Clinton, Obama, and Biden family [crime] enterprises. Witness your BLM leaders, absconding with the cash and buying luxury homes in predominantly white neighborhoods. Corruption is hard work, but someone must make the sacrifice and do it. The biggest evangelists of socialism are its ruling class and a vast mob that aspires to its secondary and tertiary offices. Below that are the far greater mobs of idiots who don’t know better and don’t care, as long as they got their $1,400.
There’s one more chapter in the ascendancy of socialism. Those are its members that relish the status, privilege, and power to purposely afflict all who stand in the way, all who are not for them, all who do not sufficiently stroke the magnificent egos of the socialist authorities. Opportunism turns to callousness turns to cruelty turns to atrocities. These people are already in our midst, patiently waiting their hour. Socialism has no true believers at this level. For them, it is a means to this end – their own, but they’re quite happy to let you believe that they really believe.
This is what we have to look forward to, not a generation down the road, but literally, in the next year if these people are not stopped from gathering critical mass as office holders. Their success is not guaranteed but neither is ours. If you are not vocal, activist, loud, and willing to risk your genteel persona in this next year, you may not have the opportunity the following year.
