There is a lot of instant analysis to the alleged conviction of Trump in Bragg’s New York City fiasco. In all things Trump-legal as well as documentation and commentary of Supreme Court happenings, I follow the perspectives of @JonathanTurley, @AlanDersh, @julie_kelly2. For a thorough synopsis of the Bragg trial, see this piece by Jonathan Turley. The following are simply my own visceral thoughts about the trial, about the analysis, and the furthest real outcome, done in blurb format:
Of course it’s a sham kangaroo court event, but to even call it a trial dignifies it to something it was not. I’m bothered at outlets that even regard it as a tainted but legitimate event.
As Trump said, ‘it can happen to anyone now’. Even the newish term ‘lawfare’ imparts false dignity to the trend because, it’s really the end of law.
I‘m deeply disturbed for what this means for America as I believe are also a lot of closeted scared Democrats, that behind their partisan veneer, understand that the end of law would spur consequences that they will have no control over. Even some Democrats have spouses, families, small children. They also must think about what a country devolving into anarchy would look like for their close kin. Remember, a revolution eats its own children long after the status quo is just a distant memory.
I detect fear in the normally Trump hating media, at least beyond the Trump Derangement Syndrome wing and it isn’t directed at Trump and the MAGA movement. They have a front row seat watching the destruction of American values that gave them the freedom to have partisan allegiances. They are genuinely, personally, and deeply worried.
It isn’t what just transpired. Moreso, it is what comes next. They see a certain inevitability that will occur when the terminally venal Biden and handlers’ despair as the boost Trump is receiving dwarfs all that came before and they will transgress again against the free people of America with a yet greater outrageous crime from which there is no turning back.
Trump will win if they don’t kill him first. If Biden has Trump killed, there will not be a Democrat party to speak of this time next year, perhaps no America either.
Biden can thank his lucky stars that he’ll be slobbering invalid or dead soon when the counter legal wars start. Obama won’t be so lucky. Obama and his shadow regime will spend the rest of their lives in a legal hell of their own and the big difference will be that the charges won’t be a Frankenstein creature of law-suet like they formed against Trump. It’ll be real charges up to and perhaps including treason. This is already set in motion and will happen whether Trump is killed, or alive and President.
