Well of course I’m not contributing much to this blog right now. But since I’ve spoken at length regarding Trump and his prospects, some positive, some negative, and given that he’s now being hotly pursued for impeachment, here is a perspective for all of the one or two people that might be interested in my comment:
I’ve stated repeatedly: We have laws. They are made by congress, the legislative branch, interpreted by the judicial branch and acted upon by the executive branch. The ultimate guardian is our constitution, safeguarded by the Supreme Court. Impeachment is the prerogative of the legislature. Challenges to that process are managed by courts. I don’t know if a) Trump broke laws, or b) if so, if they’re impeachable crimes. A large part of me doesn’t care either way. Pence would make a fine replacement. I believe that Trump is possibly out of touch and or incompetent to manage the details of Ukraine-gate. Voices I don’t trust in the melee: The New York Times, The Washington Post, every other mainstream media outlet. Who I do Trust: congressman Nunes (California).
