I could frame this as a hodgepodge of topics but on the other hand, both are mysteries to me, ergo, I will present them together and see if they resolve.
The first is the concept of swing states in our general election, the very perpetual existence of the same swing states, election after election. At surface level, this is plain. The make-up of those state’s peoples is more or less evenly divided: Democrat, Republican, or liberal vs conservative. Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, Nevada. Some lists add in New Hampshire, Minnesota, Virginia, North Carolina and a couple others that are no longer anything near swing state status anymore, but I’m not here to quibble about that. These people are undecided, and they have been so for a long time, as far back to when Republicans were the country club party and the Democrats were the working class party…my my how the tables have turned. So why are these people still so stuck? I ask this question from the level of personal inquiry, screw the professional ‘experts’. If the two major parties have had a revolution and flipped each other’s constituency, why still can’t they make up their mind? I submit to you two possibilities: they are dumb and or they are gullible.
Let’s look at the party platform of the Democrats as expressed by the vanished Joe Biden and new shining babbling star. Kamala Harris. Anyone can come into this country that wants to and you, the taxpayer, will happily give them out of your famished wallet, long term lodging, food, schools, medical care, cell phones, free travel anywhere they want to go. For free. Meanwhile, you will pay premium prices for everything yourself and will forgo some of these life essentials. Why would someone in swing-state Arizona vote for that? How about you in Pennsylvania? Are you really on that fence?
How about those same migrants and other domestic groups of strangely cohesive ethnicity going around raping, murdering, stealing whatever they want, then walking away without so much as a dollar of bail? Equity, justice. Is that how you think of justice there in Michigan, or you Virginia?
What about the economic plan from the same executives that buried us in runaway inflation and significant deterioration of living standards; now they want to fix it with outright communism. Too bad young people never got a chance to see facts and footage from Communist countries in the cold war era showing bread lines, empty grocery stores, and even medically critical starvation. Should we allow a pass for Georgia or Minnesota since they have no recollection here?
Maybe there in Nevada and New Hampshire, you’re OK with Kamala confiscating the firearms, disarming the entire nation in defiance of the constitution. Maybe you Pennsylvania, have no real qualms about outright violence against and exclusion of Jews. Afterall, a disturbing number of your own demographic have always voted Dem and even plan to vote for your oppressors in this election. After all, your esteemed governor, Shapiro, is all in for Kamala. At what point does conformity just become profoundly dumb, or even tragic?
How about the Dems extreme trans-fixation, all the way up to stuffing all the cabinet and staff positions with some stripe of the rainbow flag, and all the way down to sterilizing and mutilating YOUR boys and girls? Is that OK with you up there in Wisconsin? I always thought of that state as humble and rural and farms everywhere but apparently, they don’t need any more hands on the family farm. Perhaps they’re fine with young Steven moving into the big city, banging Adam every night and making ends meet waiting tables or being a short order cook; or with Marissa dying her hair green , getting her gender studies degree and writing books about how evil is parenting and procreation. Are you really still on the fence Fred and Ethel; really?
While this list is far from exhaustive, there is a link to my other topic, going on right now at the DNC convention: sterilizations and abortions. This is so important to Democrats that they formed a marquise event out of it at their convention, offering them for free with much ballyhoo and bragging. This is and is not a mystery to me, (and I leave you now swing states because this fixation is across the board nationwide). This is the biggest cornerstone of the Democrat party, two practices that result in the cessation of human reproduction. I’m not arguing against individual hardship here as it’s a valid but different focus, I’m questioning why this is the very last hill that most democrats will die on. For decades, abortion was all about removing consequences from libertine values against a prudish culture. We’re a couple generations at least past that so that could not be the cause. In the big picture, Democrats and Republicans, religious and non-religious are equal opportunity profligates that ultimately find their own way, justification, and moral system to live by and there are few if any that will stand in their way. Then, while there is some long term hubbub about population control, de-peopling the earth, mother earth blahdy blah, much of this is now obsolete and even if it wasn’t, this is way off the radar for Sam and Suzy up in small town Michigan, and yet they will go to their little United Methodist or even Free Evangelical church and hear that abortion is sacrosanct, so much so that they must set aside all other consistency of faith and creed to conform to this one edict. Why? ‘The Thief comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.’ Your back-slidden soul may remember that from back in your bitter church days, from the bible, John 10:10. The passage gives clues as to why abortion is important to Democrats and even a lot of secret Republican fans. The key is that there’s a personality behind the idea and you are the subject focus of that personality. That personality wants to steal an abundant life from you. Its nature is to kill and to destroy. And the most problematic proposition of all, is the speaker, Jesus. If you’re childless, bitter, atheist, and there is no generation coming after you to take care of your wrinkled soul, long after your curves have melted into sagging skin, there is no going back except on the atheist part. Jesus drives Democrats to wild-eyed insanity.
I’m not presenting a religious argument because you’re free to do whatever you want. No skin off my chin. Just know that there is a personality driving, primarily, the Democrat macro agenda. Maybe swing states are part of a special ops because you have to swallow some pretty horrific ideas to still be sitting in the fence. Do what you want personally but don’t try so hard to have company in your misery by driving governance of everyone else after your own sick life.
I hear a lot about people eager to spread equal blame onto Republican values. I reject that outright. We’re all far from perfect and Republicans have many deep issues that are not the subject of this essay. The two major parties were equal opportunity flawed at one time, but the Democrat platform has decisively broken out in an evil, nihilistic, and godless agenda that will enslave and destroy America. The Republican America First agenda is diametrically opposite. There is no swing in that swing state of choices. Get off the fence, take responsibility for your vote and accept the consequences. There is no hyperbole in what I portrayed as the new modern Democrat party. If you want that, vote for it, otherwise swing states, get sobor and act before it’s too late.
