Two Objects of Conservative Whining

There are two big stories going on right now that I’m intentionally not following because I can’t bear the constant whining. Two stories that I can do nothing about; two stories that involve the activism of democrats, primarily; two stories that also involve the cooperation of Republicans; two stories that are roundly derided by most conservatives but in the present matrix present no bright up-side to those same conservatives. Nevertheless, I don’t regard these two the same. Conservatives need to transcend the present position they’re in and be a little more sophisticated if they hope to make any headway against being steamrolled.

The first story is the ’Omnibus’ sending bill, 1.7 trillion dollars. It sets the spending priorities of the present exiting Democrat congress and pushes it forward onto the incoming Congress, even with an incoming Republican controlled Congress majority. No one has read it. It was passed with the assistance of a handful of Republicans that collected bits of ‘pork’ for their trouble. When that is their priority, why bother reading it? Harlots all. One could argue that if Republicans took the Senate, things would be different, but I doubt it. The ignorant proletariat, progressive and conservative, are all strapped to the same log, pushed into the main flow of the River Fiscal Disaster and we’ll all suffer the same fate. I’m sort of tired of hearing the whining though. Somebody elected those Republicans. The RNC got what they paid for. Who are we to complain otherwise? The only path back is down, a long long way down.

The second matter for which I hear great consternation is over Ukraine funding, provided in the aforementioned action. It seems there are multiple objections. The money. Zelensky. Just because it’s Ukraine and not USA. You don’t have to be a ‘Rockefeller Republican’ to understand that defeating Russia in a proxy war, – albeit one that we didn’t chose – that that is or used to encompass a lot of conservative interests. It’s also helpful to have a moral center that at least objects to various shades of genocide. Defeating a waning super-power isn’t cheap, but it may still be a good investment, but what do I know? I’d love for the money to go to good ol USA but under Biden, do you really want the present set of priorities, forty seven billion for drag shows and trannies in the barracks? Maybe defeating Russia is a better use for that money at this present moment. And Zelensky, I don’t understand the campaign to transform him into some kind of homo-erotic globalist. The facts on the ground as I understand it is that he’s been busy fighting the Russians and staying alive and I can’t fault him that. If he has to be a bit tough to keep his armies on the straight and narrow, I could grant him that. Would that we conservatives had someone with that clout. Don’t get me wrong; we need accountability for where that money is going. Who is providing that? Biden? Schumer? Pelosi? “Well? I’m waiting!”. If that money is being diverted like an ‘Iran-Contra’ gig than let’s get after it and have indictments and trials.

My news feed is filled with whining and that doesn’t change things. Sure, we need new and better minority and majority and party leadership. (in as much Republican may or may not represents conservatives), so maybe that might take alternative leadership, and money, and smarter organization, and results, none of which are overnight solutions. Maybe it’s time to get to work.

Sincerely,

An obscure conservative
