I Spent 5 Years with Some of Trump’s Biggest Fans. Here’s What They Won’t Tell You.
Web Publication: Mother Jones, by Arlie Russell Hochschild
Left Behind
For those who are conservative and know their journalism politics, do not breeze past this just because it comes from Mother Jones. This is a long read, maybe a half hour. I skim over a lot of articles like this because they’re all about showcasing the writer, not the subject. They never get to the point. This is worth the read. This is a trip into the middle of America. It’s the story and nothing but the story. No commentary is needed. The story details the working poor, the poor no longer working, and a woman struggling on the periphery. While I agree with the few comments about Trump at the end, the main reason to read this story is to know where the middle of America is coming from.
