My Unhappy Life as a Climate Heretic
Web Publication: Wall Street Journal, by Roger Pielke Jr.
Prepare the stake and the bonfire
We live in a day where it’s hard to decide what we are most polarized about. For decades it was war but now most people are pretty OK with war, even most liberals. Immigration, gays, and diversity are pretty high on this list now. These are slowly pushing movements, even like ‘Black Lives Matter’ down on the attention scale – so much for a black president. However, after reading this article, I think I’m ready to conclude that climate change might be the single most divisive issue that our country faces.
Roger Pielke Jr., a scientist with good credentials, which are listed on this Center For Science & Technology Policy Research site or on his About Me reference page, has come under a lot of fire. A lot. When it comes to science, he is no Donald Trump or Duck Dynasty, but I digress. The article appearing in the Wall Street Journal a few days ago, illustrates the Nazi-SS-like behavior of his peers from the climate change cult club toward any whiff of dissension. Really, you would think he’s going up against Ron Hubbard and Scientology, not other ‘scientists’!
If you’re like me and have had your suspicions about the climate crowd aroused based on the pitch and intensity of their tactics against dissenters, you are not alone. Please read this article to get a sense of how bad it’s gotten.
