I generally vow to not cover what everyone else is covering, or at least to give a different angle or better yet, to use more explicit language than a lot of polite society is doing, but in this instance, I break my promise, sort of. I’ve been all over Minnesota, just like everyone else but here’s a take that I have yet to hear as of yet, perhaps only because it’s just a day or so too soon. I’ve seen several pieces on secession and how the left mob, of which the entire Walz administration are apparently members, now are invoking the tenth amendment and mirroring the lead up dynamics of the Fort Sumpter battle. I have yet to be convinced that they have the wherewithal to follow through – by a long shot, but it’s a fun exercise. It would be entertaining to watch the state turn into a magnet for all the socialist, immigrant, and freebe handout crowds, especially while they freeze. Let’s just say they enjoy the rhetoric without paying the cost but it’s not just an idle distant game played out by their leadership. I have a distant past acquaintance as a friend on Facebook, a nice guy, a medical doctor, pediatrician I think, who a couple weeks ago directly advocated for secession and a bunch of other liberal midwestern friends joined in support, but even here, talk is cheap. What would it really be like if Minnesota and a handful of other deep blue states joined in. The short and real answer would be civil war, Trump following the example and precedent of Abraham Lincoln. But imagine for a moment if he let Minnesota stew in their own juices for just a little while. Minnesota would be a substantially land locked republic with only their own internal revenue and the immediate and crushing obligation to sustain some of the most government dependent people (by design) in our now barely United States. Given their precedent of elevating the Somali peoples who are obviously masterful at manipulation and graft, that demographic would then leverage their special status into uncompromising governance and leadership. Minnesota would literally become, Little-Somalia, those people’s sovereign beachhead in the new world of the Western Hemisphere. I won’t paint that picture out in any detail right now because I think we all have an idea just what that would look like. Minnesota would not have immediate need of a military because they’d undoubtably find instant protection from Canada but they’d certainly have to go through the motions of forming a military, a border protection system, and wait for it…. their own ICE! Into this mix would flock hard leftist from all over the country and maybe the globe, coming to the fledgling socialist utopia, the New Jerusalem. I can just imagine the guiding ethos of the worker’s paradise: ‘All pigs are equal, but some are more equal than others.’ We all know who’s going to the glue factory.
