For those that are new or nearly new to Northeast Reader, I produce a recap of highlighted articles at the end of each year. It includes the link, a brief explanatory text, and often, the news context wherein the piece was written. I might add a couple new supporting ideas or maybe a note about just how accurate my prediction was. For a new reader, this will quickly catch you up on how I’ve operated in the past year. Apart from each months featured writings; I also call attention to the newly updated ‘About’ page which will give you an understanding of where these thoughts come from.

Going Against the Grain – Non-Predictions and Predictions
I might not usually be inclined to highlight an essay that simply made predictions that came true. Afterall, some are so obvious that they write themselves, e.g. Trump assassination attempts, but given that 2024 events and Trump’s victories are so clear cut, this piece posted on January 5, 2024 reads an awful lot like December 2024. Below that surface observation, I also took aim at a sea-change in liberal attitudes toward a tiring of progressive excesses. I’m going to say no one saw that coming back in January and if there were any signs ahead of it, only after the election did the journalist trade started to write about it. Take this post as a case study in predictive observation.

We Might Be Losing Our Minds – The Promise of Brain Implants
Before rereading this article and based on my memory of what I thought I wrote, I thought I’d be quickly passing this over; instead, it commanded attention. This is not a cold factual analysis, instead, its partially allegorical, ironically, at least for now, that might still represent a weakness in AI applications and hardware, coming up with representative nuance. It’s a strong piece, maybe even compelling, at least to anyone that still values the notion of humanity.

On Stereotypes and Name-Calling – Time to Lean In
This writing would certainly be considered incendiary by those that are used to cowing tender conservatives with a low confrontation quotient. And to that faction I’d say, ‘burn away’ because I’m not the tender sort. I look at ‘far right’, ‘white supremacy’, and ‘rural white rage’, three buzz phrases meant to corral and stigmatize conservatives. In contrast, I stigmatize our accusers and encourage you to do the same. In the nine months since, a radical cultural shift has started where popular opinion has shifted that exact direction. Who would-a thunk it? Even now we’re tempted to take it for granted before the shift has barely started but when I wrote this, it was bad and wasn’t getting better. Think generationally, and never go back.

What’s a Young Man to Do in This Economy?
Every year, I write at least one or two – sometimes more – pieces, directed to young men. This isn’t planned per se, it just happens. If a young man is well adjusted and has mentors and or parents ready to push him out into the world with a little assistance and a lot of wisdom, most will do fine. Many have far less though. In this piece, I catalogue what the average boy might do to get a start launching into the world. I admit it would likely fall short for an acute needs kid with no history of a father, surrounded by drug culture, or anyone raised in woke saturated households, but it would be a good start for most others not born with the proverbial silver spoon in their mouth. I’m more than OK just reaching out to that average boy.

Truth-Telling About Protests at the Ivies
Well damn…It’s almost all I can say after rereading this. Most of the time, I, the peon, hold back just a little when addressing macro-global events and their ripple effects around the world. But I tackled one here regarding the protests on American colleges toward the Israeli advances against Hamas during this past year. In the process, I made a few key remarks about Israel’s rights and the consequences of being Hamas. That’s global enough for 2024. Certainly, I’m not the only one to make a moral defense of Israel or criticize the left but I think I can claim razor sharpness within my brevity.
‘Surely They Would Never Do That’ – Those That Advocate For Depopulation May appears to have been a special month for shooting large so I must also highlight the article calling out the open drift of global elites into endorsing depopulation. I distinguish this from mere conspiracy theory and point out large current events confirming their disposition, known and broadcast to billions of people globally. Make up your own mind. While we’re seeing things in pilot program and trial run progression, the intent is clear and spoken.

Ambiguous Fortunes Awaiting Pride Month
The Religious Nature of Pride Month and Where It Will Lead
The two linked articles shown above could be considered two separate chapters of one writing. Obviously, they deal with the occasion of Pride Month, the annual collective celebration of sodomy, but the key focus is on its roots and trajectory. The first is addressed to old-school gays that perhaps are split on the broader scope of Pride Month, yet clearly some are complicit. The second crosses over to a spiritual dynamic. As hinted in my recently updated About page, the effort to shock is quite intentional, damn the feigned fragility. Lastly, I clearly predict the coming demise of much of the wokisms near and dear to the big tent Pride community and indeed, that has become today’s headlines documenting the crumbling support. Nevertheless, the articles will stay relevant for a long time.

When Rats Scurry -An Explanation of Forced Political Piety
July was a busy month in news and commentary as the first assassination attempt was made on Trump, Joe Biden was overthrown in a shadow coup and Kamala Harris undemocratically installed in his place as Democrat nominee. Busy month; read the whole month to take a walk down memory lane. I highlight this piece because it models a literary tactic used by author CS Lewis when conveying The Screwtape Letters, a worthy read. By that simple device and brief writing, implicating Barack Obama in the process, a lot of the whiplash sentiments of the whole Democrat party are made clearer. While July presented unique circumstances, the pathologies I expose here are broader and deeply rooted.
The Everyday Cat Lady Who Gave Up the Good Life For Themselves
JD Vance had a famous moment in the news this summer that was really attributable to 2021, but it was a significant well-deserved poke in the eye for a cultural sub-species, the Cat Lady, the most loyal and ubiquitous ally of Democrat efforts. It just so happens that they are one of the most destructive forces in American culture as well. I start with the current news story and gradually circle back to the: what, where, when, and why of their unfortunate influence on broader culture and perhaps our survival; …heady stuff but as you will see, there’s a real mathematical rhyme and reason to it.

Gender and the Preferences of a Kamala Voter
At face value, between July and the November election, I spent more time than I would have liked breaking down aspects of Kamala Harris and her supporters. Nevertheless, as with the prior documented story about the Cat Lady quip, it progresses into a broader critique of Harris’ key supporters, women. Starting off with the gen Z variety and moving up the age and socio-economic scale, to ostensibly smarter, experienced, and more mature women, I detail what their support of Harris reveals about their inner values. This was an explicit theme I didn’t plan to write up, but some hard truths demand to be said. I must also confess, there are living models to the character sketches I write up. I trust they are sufficiently vague to escape detection, but while I do presume some details, these are real.

Springfield and the Cats and the Ethos of Perpetual Denial
In yet another flaming story derived from the campaign trail, I documented some details about the story of Haitian immigrants capturing and eating beloved pets, livestock, and wild animals and how this impacted a certain televised ABC Presidential debate. On the surface, the whole event was engineered as an attempt to humiliate Trump and aid Harris in her campaign but looking under and behind the event and what gradually leaked out over time (some well after the writing), the real story was the moral and professional depravity of ABC and their chosen antagonists, Lindsey Davis and David Muir. And that, outside the scope of this article is also representative of the entire major media apparatchik. Throughout the process, I also make advocacy for the safety and wellbeing of cats.
October
An Ode to Laziness – A Blight of Our Generation As could be expected, 2024 was packed with politics, a chore I wish wasn’t so much the case. In the month leading up to the election, this was especially the case so in a way, it was refreshing to post an old-fashioned morality essay, the kind that might only be found in the Old Readers Digest, fifty+ years ago. There is no vice that liberal progressivism hasn’t tried or succeeded in normalizing as victimhood virtue, that is, not just excusing the vice, but canonizing it. In this case, its sloth or laziness. Of course, I had a few people in mind, just because, and truth be told, so do you, even if you see yourself as ‘understanding’. Read to confirm.

How Trump May Manhandle Putin, Xi, and Others in the New World Order Without Firing a Shot
In this essay, I clearly took on subject matter entirely out of my league, both in scope and expertise. Funny thing though is that almost immediately in the days and weeks after publishing it, a lot of the details discussed herein started to become hot news almost daily as Trump was already ramping up his Presidency pre-inauguration. Most notably, he’s already hugely modified the policies and behaviors of our entire North American continent, Mexico and Canada, simply through threats of high tariffs. Shazam! It may ultimately be the downfall of ultra-progressive Canadian Prime Minister, Trudeau. While international trade policy might cause most people’s eyes to roll back in their head, I think I provide very easy explanations that go a long way to helping the reader understand why this is going to be successful and affect your life in positive tangible ways, very soon, even now.

Lessons Not Learned – The Influences of a Contrite Democrat Party
This is a good article to wrap up 2024. While it at first seems parochial to certain subsets of the Democrat party, I provide an alternative way of thinking to what is commonly being discussed during the first phases of licking their election wounds. We’re entering a golden age of sorts but not without huge risks and dangers, especially with the macroeconomic and finance bombs the Biden [handlers] administration are leaving the country. There will be plenty of time to focus on that program in the coming months but don’t forget the hell we’ve just gone through the past four years, don’t forget who made it, and don’t think they won’t be actively trying to subvert the new Trump administration and its agenda. Build new walls but keep a trowel in one hand and a sword in the other.
