I used to have some sympathy for ‘the other side’ or at least really tried to fit into their head; after all, isn’t there a shred of truth in every side of a story? When it comes to politics, I’ve run out of patience. Maybe we can all remember back in school days when you made acquaintance with a new kid and you imagined that perhaps you could be friends. A few friendly words are exchanged for a few days but then something turns weird. You’re then ghosted and the next day, being talked about secretly. You come into school the next week and they’re now talking openly and badly about you to your other friends. A few days later, it’s even worse, a few of your other friends have defected from you and the next thing you know, you’re getting shoved in the hall. First thing the next morning in the hall, or at the end of the day, out by the buses, is the big fight. This is conservative America vrs. progressive America, but ‘progressive’ is actually too kind; it’s really more like that other kid is a corrupt, manipulative, psychopath. The school councilor wants you to try to see them as equal, even to the point of denigrating your character to even the playing field, but in your heart, you know that you are who you are, and they are exactly what their actions demonstrated to you about their character.
This is not about Trump and it’s not really even about the progressive/woke/socialist cabal that is the Democrat party. It’s about the quarter of this country that are fully bought into the character of that bully and the other quarter of the country that are too stupid to look past the next handout from them.
My illustration could be the launching pad for a whole book of litanies detailing the asymmetrical divide in America and the character of corrupt progressives but take it as the backdrop to several weeks of events leading to Trump’s acquittal today in the impeachment hearing:
- The entire impeachment event was a hyper-partisan ‘witch trial’, ironically sponsored by the real witch, Nancy Pelosi and her gnome counterpart, Chuck Schumer.
- Trump held a political protest rally to on January 6 to signal dissatisfaction to election results. A breakaway party wrecked Capitol Hill, with [now] well known and documented preplanning, even being monitored by the FBI. Security of the capitol was conspicuously and profoundly substandard to the point of absent.
- Trump was charged with inciting a riot.
- The House made an impeachment case, but no witnesses were called. It was a manifest political event, not a legal event.
- At the rally, Trump was exercising first amendment speech, just like a significant number of democrats.
- At the point at which the Senate tried the case, Trump was not even a sitting president.
- Article II, Section 4: The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.
- Chief Justice Roberts refused to preside at the trial.
- Democrats presented manipulated evidence at the trial
- Trump was acquitted.
I have no patience with any soul that believes Trump should have been impeached or even been taken to trial. The corrupt establishment bringing charges against Trump is that bully in the school. This is not to say that Trump has not made indelicate proclamations or even broken a law at some point and that isn’t for me to decide. It’s the pattern of behaviors of the raging psychopathic Trump haters that disgusts me the most. You will scrounge up and hold trial after trial after trial over the next four years and likely well beyond because all you know is hate.
To the left; for a party in power you have an incredible amount of insecurity. If you really truly believed in the integrity of the last election, you wouldn’t be so worried about the next one. Your quivering red hands and red face tell me all I need to know about you.
And while we’re at it…
The Lincoln Project – totally busted, DOA
Gov. Newsome – Most likely done
Gov. Cuomo – I pray his justice is poetic in a full Shakespearean way
