The Next Chapter Leftward for Colleges

In a lot of ways, these thoughts are a part two to the ‘A Look at The Ultimate Drift of the Violent Left’ posted about a week ago. We are here, X, now; in just a little while we will be over there at the rate things are going. Last week dealt with violence. That’s a component here as well, but now on an institutional level, universities embracing radicalism generally and antisemitism specifically to such an extent that they’re willing and prepared to forgo federal subsidies. Liberal big media can be lumped into this as well as they run cover for their comrades at Che Guevara U and every other institution now under the scrutiny of the Trump administration. When they’re so far out of the mainstream now, where they might go next will be especially destructive and may transform into something unrecognizable and horrific.

We always knew Harvard, et al, were progressive liberal. That’s the default mode of most colleges and universities. [using these terms interchangeably] Historically, we’ve watched them produce leaders on both sides of the aisle but for the past twenty years at least, the numbers of conservative graduates and faculty has diminished precipitously, and yet we accepted it as the drift in the social tide. Enter the woke years and we’ve all watched news clippings documenting their most notorious alumni and faculty leading the charge off an ideological cliff. These people wrote the book of woke and they’re doing so today, taking the decent further and faster as evidenced by their newest cause of antisemitism. It’s a new twist on the idea of a ‘revolution eating its own children’.

The latest chapter took wing, though not origin, with the October 7 invasion of Israel by Hamas. Phase 1 of this chapter was about denials, then defense, then resignations as prominent Wall Street types cut donations to the school. Phase 2 was the radicals digging in, despite wavering administrations. We’ve since learned well after a year later that facilitators for Hamas were peppered in among schools like Harvard and Columbia. These were not merely propagandists and riot rousers, but also direct support operatives of Hamas. Let’s all be clear and honest about something here; their celebrity cause isn’t about helping the poor Palestinian people in Gaza. If that was the objective, they’d be fighting Hamas instead. They, the bright and shining of the Ivys, hate Jews because they hate Israel. They hate Israel because it’s supported by the ‘great Satan’, America, of whom together, form a hegemon against the causes they love. They love Iran, even a theocratic Iran, because Iran also hates America, and they are (were) useful in challenging the power of the US in the middle east. Ultimately, they love socialism, communist, and globalist rule because these ideologies also oppose a free and effective America.

As the Trump administration began scrutinizing their antisemitism, threatening to withhold funding in earnest, change their tax status, tax their endowments, the school administrations are now hardening themselves as a reflection of their truer mission for world socialism. They will drop the pretense of education. This is Phase 3 and it’s happening now.

‘They are instead, pits of radical activism that masquerade behind the false front of a school’, as I declared a couple weeks ago. To say our best institutions have gone woke is entirely inadequate. For institutions that used to be noble, a source of great light and inspiration to America and the rest of the world, this is an extraordinary fall from grace. The name Lucifer comes to mind. That fall is not yet even now fully realized but is in rapid progress.

Ivy league school leadership seems to have decided that their endowments are big enough that they can outlast conservatism until the next radical sugar-daddy comes along to the Whitehouse. More importantly, preserving their radicalism at the expense of education is their priority. But is that all? If an educational institution is willing to give up on education, what comes next? This is pure speculation, but when does institutional Harvard really start to support their supposed downtrodden Gazans and fight back against the ‘oppressors’: Jews, Trump and Netanyahu? by gun running, bomb making and becoming ‘righteous’ combatants? And while they’re at it, steering the whole Democrat party into becoming para-military cause to fight all the ‘evil’ in the world, Donald Trump and successors, conservatives, Christians? In just a little while they will be there at the rate things are going.
