As of the end of December, apart from the amazing work done by front line medical researchers, doctors, nurses and medical facilities; and also to give credit to Donald Trump for his initiatives including the creation of Operation Warp Speed, here’s what we’ve learned about the Corona virus response:
Mask mandates show no macro statistical benefit. Everywhere they’re been decreed, Covid cases soar.
Lockdowns are mandated, even to include outdoor activities and dining where there is no scientific evidence to support those mandates.
Transmission from asymptomatic infected persons are rare.
WHO changed the definition of herd immunity directly in response to political whims.
Fauci is incompetent, has flipflopped far more than could ever be accorded to a bon a fide professional, has now confessed and self-documented that he lies (herd immunity). He is the one that claims to be an epidemiologist as his life’s work…
Another ‘strain’ of Covid was just discovered and is hyped to necessitate even more gruesome political lockdown measures; this is working its way to the United States.
Doubt is already cast on the vaccine, to include notions that it’s use will not validate the loosening of any restrictions – until it’s universally distributed and maybe not even then.
An amusing skit applied to the matter of Covid illustrates the current dilemma.
The mask – a different kind of mask – is off the opposition. We can see who they are and what they want. If you’ve read Northeast Reader lately, my opinions of Covid are well defined. Covid is real, there are ways to fight it, and politicians are blowing it in favor of suppression of civil liberties. I’m actually hopeful that we could quickly beat Covid based on my own analysis, A Shocking Trend in American Covid Cases and the Sharp Curve Challenging Policy. But as you read the laundry list of current perceptions and responses above, you come away with the opposite idea; we’re about to be buried but not by Covid. The gloves are off the ‘Fauci’ public policy plan, they are threatening us, and the majority of people are cowering.
My point? I’m tired of reading bad news headlines, even from conservatives, that just act as middlemen for spreading news of Covid suppression and provide no guidance to fight back.
Given the widespread and pointed failure of most of our public policies in containing Covid, I attribute the preponderance of widespread transmission to two things; first, the neglect and failure to emphasize natural immunity strategies. Second, too many people that have it, know they have it, simply go about their business as if they didn’t have it. The false efficacy of masks actually emboldens infected people to mix in public. These two things would account for the disparity between mass mandates and the failure of those mandates to control Covid spread.
Tactical responses that should now be enacted:
- Stop pretending that Fauci has any credibility at all. He and his Covid response needs to be aggressively branded as a failure.
- Doctors, researchers, conservative leaders, and conservative media, that have emphasized policies starting with immunity strengthening must stand together in high profile forums and a) more forcefully promote immunity strengthening and b) stand against decrees that force large swaths of the isolated public to stay indoors. A shout out to Senator Rand Paul here.
- Promote more widespread freedoms in conservative jurisdictions in contrast to hopeless progressive areas, yet avoid obvious stupid risk taking, consisting mostly of sustained contact in confined areas.
- Promote truth-telling. If you have it, just like if you have a flu, simply stay home until you’re better.
- Doctors should use all therapies for infected at their disposal that they believe are effective based on their own clinical experience, regardless of ‘guidance’ from detached and incompetent health organizations and politically charged deniers.
- Follow real science; not the contradicting deep state that, at this point, is clearly following agenda driven political policies; these in glaring contrast to people, places, and nations that are clearly more successful.
It’s pitchfork time; stand your ground!
