According to the American left, its far worse to lose your free TV soap box than to be gunned down in cold blood in front of your wife and small kids. This is the lesson learned in the latter half of this week.
What follows here are just short takes on various aspects of the Kirk assassination and Jimmy Kimmel losing his show, all this not necessarily in any particular order. I started out with a blunt declaration because I could just conclude the post right there. Everything else I say is just trim and window dressing, except for a few comments on where this will go beyond the next few news cycles.
Turning point USA has/had about 9000 chapters around the country. In the 48 hours after Erika Kirk addressed the national audience, there were 32,000 requests for new chapters. If you’re Tyler Robinson, the leftist trans and furry sympathizer and lover as well as conservative hater, I guess you could call those unintended consequences. And yes, Jimmy Kimmel, Tyler Robinson is a leftist trans and furry sympathizer.
Tyler Robinson is alleged to have authored a conversation with his transitioning partner. I say alleged only because some critics suggested it was oddly [stilted], but lets go with it for now. The young man appeared to be exceptionally naive about his prospects for escape and spent the most time worrying about grand pappy’s rifle. Purely my own thought here, but he seemed to have the emotional maturity of a fourteen-year-old based on those words IMO. What does this matter? Nothing except that it should inform anyone analyzing leftist assassins, terrorists, and those responsible for foreseeing and protecting high profile conservatives.
I and a few others have concluded that Charlie Kirk is as important to a social movement as was Martin Luther King to his constituency. Of course, the guardians of the MLK legacy scoff at that, which is their right but it was and is not the prerogative of they or any few people to measure the stature of a man cut down. That right is granted to the millions of people that follow and one week after Charlie Kirks assassination, that is his trajectory of which I’m only one observer. Likewise, Carlie Sheen of all people is reported to have said the Kirk assassination is this generation’s JFK moment. I’m inclined to agree with that as well.
I must re-declare as I stated in my prior articles, that leftist political violence far out numbers the instances of right-wing violence. ‘No, this is not equal. The impulse to equalize the ideological aggression in this nation right now is based on a defensive pang of guilt by some and terminally internalized hate by many others.’ Doubters, add up the declarations of desired targeted killings by leftist liberals on social media and get back with me.
The only unfortunate thing about Jimmy Kimmel being cancelled is that it’s over-shouted some of the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination. Kimmel deserved to be cut. Of course he still has first amendment rights, just not on ABC’s dime. Everything I said about Colbert applies to him as well. Buy your own airtime sucker. The false advertised pretense of ‘comedy’ doesn’t amend your your lies and slander. Obviously, John Q Public has no broad aptitude or patience to distinguish what was is a business decision, but the courts do, so file away. FCC chair Carr’s public comments were not helpful, but they don’t invalidate the case of any of the other parties in the matter, by any stretch of the imagination.
Conservative leaders and elected officials still give too much credit to the left’s demagoguery of matters like the Kimmel firing. The left deserves far stronger mockery of their positions and threats. The one person that deserves exponentially greater mockery in all of this is Obama. Perhaps his words should be amplified to demonstrate even clearer to the uninformed public, just what a slithering hater he really is.
All of the hub aloo about ‘fascism’ has reached peak irrelevance. This goes for the left obviously but also the right. The left is incapable of forming a whole sentence without peppering it with the word over and over again. I can’t even claim they really know what it means because their average IQ is plummeted. What other group could so consistently demonstrate all the behaviors of historical fascism and so consistently blame their opposition of it? For that reason, it’s a tactical mistake for conservatives to choose the same vocabulary that the left has so thoroughly beat to death. Conservatives, engage the public differently.
Where do we go from here? Democrat leftist have painted themselves into a corner. #walkaway They appear to be sullying their electoral prospects long term even more. Sooner or later, they will try to literally shoot their way out. I said there will be a copycat attempt within weeks. I still believe that, a prediction I hope does not come true, but we’ll see. The Democrat left appears to be poised to jerk into outright communism, even bypassing socialism. How much of our social fabric and economy can they destroy in the attempt? Possibly quite a lot. The most lasting legacy of their recent past successes has been in destroying so many younger people, polluting their minds with perversion and destroying their natural fertility over sexual/gender fantasies. Some of that can never be restored. This brings into laser focus, why Charlie Kirk was so important. He spoke directly into the heart of that generation and those ideologies. Let’s hope and pray that his work in death even eclipses what he accomplished in life.
