I tried to ignore the Lindsay Clancy thing for weeks, not because I had a specific aspect to avoid but rather, because I first estimated it to be just another in an unending stream of tragic stories based in acute post-modern failure, primarily the flourishing fruit of progressivism. Then, I caught wind of the aftermath, the hung jury, and finally was forced to read the grisly details of the actual murder. I had said somewhere in this – to myself at least – that I would not be writing about it and maybe I am or maybe I’m not. I have a few thoughts that I have yet to see directly expressed even in conservative media but likely someone is saying them. Just to get a few things out of the way: Lindsay Clancy murdered her three little children; to that, she clearly confessed. It is plain to me that she showed enough executive planning function, including means of deception leading up to the act, that she can never be regarded as simply a victim of post-partum psychosis. She should spend the rest of her life confined. Personally, I don’t care if its steel bars or the wire glass windows of a mental institution. What I do care about – and maybe we should be thankful for this – that this final stage of feminism has revealed itself as a humanity destroying malignancy.
Women-hood must now be considered in terminal meltdown. Of course I don’t mean all women; but if a body contracts a deadly cancer, there are diseased riddled organs or parts, there are other parts that will eventually be affected. But long before the entire body can be manifestly diseased, it dies as critical and co-dependent functions are compromised. A thought I’m borrowing from another commentary; children are now considered another oppressor class to women, that is, the class of women now engulfed in terminal progressive feminism. On the one hand, this is no surprise; they’ve been aborting babies for generations now. Now it is the born that must fear along side the unborn. This past week, a woman hung her kid after following the Clancy trial. The same day, I read that Canada is trying to expand medical sponsored death for living babies. At the same time, here we have the ‘pink’ brigade fully identifying with Lindsay Clancy. Once we take this to its not-so-distant conclusion, no child is safe, no age is safe, not when a woman can be excused of a murder from hormone fueled psychosis, conditions that lie somewhere between universal and common.
How does womanhood walk that back? When those little faces look up at their mother and ask, ‘would you ever kill me?’ what can mother now say? ‘I’m fine today dear, but I can’t vouch for the end of the month, or next year, or the year after that.’ What man can build a family and feel safe that his offspring will be safe at home? This is not to suggest that he bears no responsibility for the kid’s safety if mom goes crazy, another aspect I’ve seen no comment on.
Unfortunately, this world is filled with bad parents even as there are plenty of good and wise, devoted loving parents. Anomalies, crimes against children are always tragic, great and small. What sets the Clancy case apart is that fatal dysfunction has broken out of the bounds of just bad, evil, criminal, disturbed parenting and is impinging on what is supposed to be normative albeit imperfect parenting. Linsay Clancy didn’t set out to do this and likely doesn’t have the moral wattage to even know what’s being destroyed here; but her millions of followers and supporters are fervently perpetrating an even larger crime as they lay the groundwork for the final destruction of motherhood. No child is safe and consequently, neither is humanity.
