A tendency exists among conservatives who forcefully swear off liberal public officials and pundits, to still take these folks seriously even when they say the most outlandish things. If a crazy family member or work colleague says outlandish things, it’s easy to block them out, but if someone by happenstance ends up on nightly or frequent broadcasts, conservatives treat that crazy person in a different manner, worrying that other crazies will take those words to heart, or worse, that they might have the power to turn some dystopian notion into real policy, law, or even enforcement. It’s a valid fear. In a lot of cases conservatives do have to worry that an idea will gather stream. Having said that, part of that power is given to them by our attentive, fearful listening to them. Some of their power comes from the size of their audience and that includes their adversaries. Truth of the matter is this, they should just sit down and shut up.
I present here a sample list of people to whom we’ve given too much power by assigning too much influence to them and their audiences. It’s not like we should drop our vigilance about what they say, it’s that we should speak back to any in their sphere of influence who take their far-left nonsense seriously. We should loudly tell them just how crazy these people are. Here’s the sample:
Michael Moore: Michael is left wing movie maker who touted Bernie Sander-esque socialism long before it was popular with the kids. One could even have respected him because he really truly believes his politics. He’s even clear-eyed enough to take his opposition seriously even when most of his contemporaries do not. He’s also still quite obsessed with Trump. But at the end of the day, he’s nothing but a romantic for good ol-fashioned, Soviet-style, command economies and social oppression. Too bad he’d never actually migrate to a working communist state. So why should we listen to him preach that gospel? Sit down and shut up, Michael.
AOC: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, representing New York’s 14th congressional district, is a maverick who’s acquired an incredible amount of power the new-fashioned way, not by coalition building in the halls of Washington and such, but by sounding off deeply socialistic nonsense to her Instagram base and going up against the old prune herself, Pelosi. She occupies a district stupid enough to reelect her no matter what (easy low-handing fruit there) and is thus safely ensconced to spread her pronouncements to the comrades who follow her. She may indeed maneuver herself to a Senate seat someday, but only in the hollowed-out vacuum of depleted Democrat party bench depth — and that my friends is where she will likely rot unless others more gifted than her turn the masses out in favor of Maduro-like efficiency. Until then, she’s just a young face with a really large mouth — and half of that equation won’t be around forever. Sit down and shut up, Alexandria.
Dr Anthony Fauci: This is the face we haven’t been able to get rid of for the past twenty months. Fauci is ostensibly a ‘scientist,’ a ‘doctor’ but has fancied himself as a front man for the deep state to whom the public should be beholden. He isn’t known as ‘flip-flop Fauci’ for no reason. There is no serious piece of advice for which he hasn’t been on the other diametrically opposite side. In 2020, these flip-flops occurred over the span of months, then weeks, until now they’re occurring even within the same interview. The obvious big, huge problem with all of this is that this is not what scientists do. Sure, they change positions as new research comes out, but this guy has been well documented to pointedly ignore research and then publicly lie about it over and over. He’s a political hack and not a doctor – if he ever was truly one. That ship sailed long ago. This doesn’t even address his culpability in creating covid-19 to begin with. His public muttering is now tinged with the desperation of someone who craves to still be relevant even after he’s thoroughly discredited himself. Sit down and shut up, Anthony.
Nancy Pelosi: ‘Let them eat cake’ Nancy is the queen bee of a hive of drone and worker Democrat legislators over whom she presides in dictatorial smugness. She has beat them all into submission – even the moderates – and she’s even been known to figuratively bitch-slap the young upstart radical AOC (& gang). In this position of power, which she attained by cunning, dagger-wielding avarice, you have to hand it to her on that score though not as a model of civic benevolence but rather, subjugation; not unlike other well know figures….like Satan for example. She has a real hard goad for Donald Trump who is her superior in many ways, one of the few people who’ve been able to manage her based on street smarts. As part of her exercise of power, she says really cruel things about her adversaries – which are most people. Part of this comes with her advanced age. She is that wicked grandmother – or now, really – great grandmother who humiliated all the children with pointed meanness last Thanksgiving. She opens her mouth and out comes hate. Sit down and shut up, Nancy.
Jen Psaki: Jen, Biden’s press secretary, is a one-person ‘Ministry of Truth’ – meaning, the sole purpose of her job is to avoid the truth – literally. While we understand that a press secretary is going to embellish the opinions and image of his/her boss, when there is nothing behind the curtain but a senile senior who takes orders from a group of others, handlers, you’re just a paid liar, if ya wanna be straightforward about it. The whole press briefing process under Jen has become a game: ‘Bamboozle the Press’. It’s devolved into not just avoiding the truth but also into an exercise in slaying the English language with Orwellian precision. Because the object of the game is to never say something that can be somehow proven a lie, you change the sentence structure, the syntax, or the tenses; you mangle them in fact so that they’re so perversely disfigured, they could never be held up to real scrutiny because the words no longer mean what they’ve always meant. For this aptitude, Jen excels. It’s just that she has no place in any real context where truth matters. She’s just a box of Scrabble letters who takes liberties to arrange them however she sees fit today. Sit down and shut up, Jen.
The one person who’s the furthest gone and the most non-sensical – to whom we should probably listen – is Joe Biden. The dynamic here is different; with all the others, the media regime types encourage us to listen to their every word and be inspired or instructed, but the opposite is true with Biden. Biden’s people don’t want you to hear a thing he actually says, which is why they keep him in a basement, only allow (or hope) that he’ll stay on their written script, and why virtually no pressers and interviews occur – because they’re petrified of what he’ll say. His words consist mostly of callous, flippant, insincere outbursts; lost and incorrect grasp of facts; and occasionally, emoting of the true, behind-the-scenes instructions from his handlers. To this we should listen. Stand up and tell us what you really think, Joe.
