If ever there were a topic already exhausted, it is the war against Hamas. I posted my own initial reaction and prepared a follow up. Those words were outdated and flooded by other voices almost immediately. Some were quite good. I would point especially to the analysis by Victor David Hanson, get it on Twitter/X. Beyond that, I was most interested in the next chapters; not just the Israeli war of retribution but also what if any long game did Hamas imagine beyond the same old global political manipulation. They miscalculated that badly, but did they have any real aspirations of sparking a true global uprising? The whole point of my trashed piece was that they did and do have that plan, but I’ve already done a 180 on that, at least as far as any organized movement that they might have initiated. Terrorist types are often referred to as ‘cave dwellers’ due to their primitive urges and methods of violence. While they might be marginally smart in tactical urban warfare and exploiting passion, they truly are cave dwellers based their understanding of global societies. There is one caveat though: There are tens and hundreds of millions of other ‘cave dweller’ peoples in self-isolated marginalized groups that will instinctively learn all the wrong lessons from the example of Hamas. For them, we are nowhere near safe. More accurately, it isn’t the bitter deranged street warrior urchin that we should fear as much as the Judge, the Mayor, the DA, and the Congressman, that after they shake off the shock of Hamas beheading babies and burning children alive, will fully return to protecting and condoning those that would mimic the same and should be locked away in asylums and prisons. I’m certain there are now sleeper cells and at least thousands of ready jihadists in the United States. Ironically, the only places they’ll be effective if called to act, are disarmed ultra-progressive enclaves and on public infrastructure where self-defense is forbidden. Otherwise, America is still armed to the teeth and getting more so daily. One thing we learned from Gaza is that even the most aggressive well planned, well manned, and well-armed assault by radicals is still dependent on a substantially unarmed populace. They had their most ‘success’ storming rave parties, schools, and nurseries and for that, they will be annihilated.
