Dems like Bernie: A headline this morning noted that Dems are warming up to the idea of Bernie Sanders. For some reason, this seems amusing, as if this is really a plot in a comedy movie. Not saying it’s impossible, but it strikes me as odd. Bernie went from college radical and full-time protestor to politician and full-time protestor, meaning, he’s never worked a real job his entire life. He’s not just old, he’s also uglyand old. That he could possibly win over the young shows that the Dems are in pretty bad shape right now. Life experience? Nope. Executive track record? Nope. You could credit him with being the first out of the gate with Socialism in the 2016 election cycle. He arrived on a particular scene first. Now it’s all the rage. Since then, he drives nice cars, (befitting the old man vibe), has big homes and is living well; not exactly the image you’d want in a good Socialist. Otherwise, have you ever heard of George McGovern?
Anti-gender hysteria: I remember a day not too long ago…like last year maybe or the year before when people were not so anti-gender. Since then, we’re gone into full blown crisis. Just to cut to the chase, it’s mass neurosis. There are a few things at least tied up in this; gender war, gender envy, gender dysphoria. Back in the day, queers just did their thing, now it’s all about anger and conquest. “Goddammit, you’re going to accept me or else!” You can’t turn on the tv or watch any news without someone crying about the cause.
The problem with this is that a generation or two is being defrauded. On the one hand, you can be anything you want. I’ve never really bought into the scale of past oppression claimed by the new identity class. I have the years to prove it and once read the periodicals that followed these kinds of struggles. I’m watching that be reversed to where a lot of young that might otherwise manage their (mostly transient) gender issues quietly, are being taught that the new enlightened masses will welcome them with open arms and every public facility will have six kinds of bathrooms for whatever your brand is. That will not be so. At the end of the day, you can only present one kind of plumbing and whatever that is, if it doesn’t at least superficially match your binary peers, life will be harder for you. Fifty percent of your cohorts are not in crisis along with you, not thirty percent or even ten. But you wouldn’t know that seeing mass media. I’d conjecture that two out of every three persons that are struggling with gender identity today, won’t be in a few years. They will have made peace with one gender and it will likely be the one they were born with. Nevertheless, I still expect the gender elite to still be projecting the cause of mass gender discontent.
