Things that are bugging me
Press Freedom: Your major tech companies are all biting at the bit to control your mind via news. Microsoft is now providing censored news. Facebook and Google have been selecting and filtering news for you for some time. Apple is making more inroads into their control of news; “services”. Of course, conservative voices are silenced. Isn’t it curious how it’s not enough that we should be dominated by left grounded ‘press’. Have these people never heard of f.r.e.e.d.o.m? And they wonder why sites like Drudge and Breitbart get so much traffic? Wait until they try to filter conservatism at the infrastructure level [e.g. China, Russia] and you’ll see what resistance really looks like and I’m not talking about the left here. Speaking of which, when you see any major media or tech news source say the words “Russia” in relation to news, that is code speak for pig shit. If you’re truly worried about news manipulation look to your own U.S. tech and major media cabals. Anymore, when I read virtually any political story I say to myself: “We’ll just have to wait until the factscome out” because little to nothing I just read was a verified fact. Irony. This is the state of the Press today.
Jussie Smollett: When I first heard this story, my first thought was: ‘that would be a stupid place, time, manner to commit the described hate crime…this will require a lot more fact finding before anyone should dare make pronouncements about it. Notice that I did not immediately condemn the allegations. Well, I had a lot more sense than the entirety of blue America including major press and major politicians including Democrat candidates for President of The United States. Just let that sink in for a moment. Perhaps it’s street smarts that made it appear to me like: this is how a hate crime is ‘supposed’ to look like, not how it would really go down. The narrative was far to neat and real crime rarely functions that way. Obviously, Jussie Smollett didn’t know this when he planned the theater. I think the kid is actually ‘sick’ and needs psychological help, but even more so, he needs to cast off the bonds of his ideological masters, the entirety of the victim-identity-obsessed left.
The endless wall: I’ve previously pointed out the tactical futility of a wall as well as the political opportunism by both left and right. Now we have the specter of executive action with subsequent and certain political reprisals for perhaps decades, eroding what fragile republic we have left. This is out of hand, blame going to both sides. Having said that, they should have just given him the damn wall. If Pelosi was ‘statesman’, she could have extracted a lot out of Trump in exchange for the wall. But when your only MO and goal is destruction, this is what you get. Duly noted.
Catholicism: Has anyone noticed an acceleration of major scandals? History…Long ago, the Holy Roman Empire collapsed, a preceding embodiment of Catholic church rule. Are we looking at the beginning of the end for modern Catholicism as we know it? What if? What happens if a scandal envelops even the Pope? What if the faithful are not amenable to mass hypocrisy by so many cardinals, bishops, priests, and nuns, rumored to be sexually preying on their flocks? What if the institutional practice of celibacy fails? (It should) Will the Catholic church still retain its present identity? They’ll be lucky to survive with any cohesion if all of these factors hit critical mass. It would be like changing a tire on a moving car – which is proven to be possible by stunt cars and drivers, but the problems here is that this car is more like an armored Bentley driven by an old man. Once the dominoes start falling, no one will stop it.
