Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord:
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword:
His truth is marching on.
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.
I can’t think of a better anthem to begin Trump’s 47th Presidency. We’re less than one week into the Trump Presidency and I am not disappointed at all. There’s no pretty way to cut it, war is a bitch if you’re on the losing side and after being there for four years, I have no reservations that the tide is forcefully returned the other direction. Rather than strive for poetry here, I’ll just dig into impressions, first about Trumps operational effectiveness and then a look at the crying opposition.
There are so many things accomplished in the first week, but for simplicity’s sake, I’ll just reference my own top twelve list from a couple weeks ago. The abbreviated objective and status after one work week is as follows :
Seize the Department of Defense and return it to its roots…. Status, on Track
Do, to the Department of Justice and the FBI, exactly as must be done to the military…. Status, on Track
Sign however many executive decisions it takes…. Status, overjoyed. Trump signed more EOs than I expected, and I particularly like the public signing in the arena.
Immediately seize full legal control of the border. Status, overjoyed.
Immediately pardon and free all J6 prisoners…. Status, done, substantially. Some rumors suggest that jail guards refused to release some of them. If that was or is still true, those guards should be apprehended immediately and charged with federal crimes and thrown into the federal lock up. Personally, I’d go a step further and declare Marshall Law in DC for 60 or 90 days and use tho opportunity to collect enough evidence to clean house.
Initiate legal action against [all regime officials involved in trying to rig past elections against Trump]…. This one still pending.
Declare an executive order requiring voter ID…. Status, process started by Vance.
Bring China into submission…. Status, started and in progress. Proposed tariffs are on track.
Immediately restore all US energy production…. Status, in advanced progress already.
Declare an executive order halting all federal funds for gender reassignment…. Status, Trump did a step further and on top of banning federal trans spending, he re-established the exclusivity of ‘male and female’, a much more comprehensive approach.
Make the Biden family give all the money back…. Status, TBD. There is discussion started about the legality of some pardons.
There are of course many more crucial things accomplished, not on my summary list. Conclusion: It’s been a historic week, one that will resonate the rest of this century and beyond.
The other half of the news cycle has featured the opposition responses to the Trump Presidency. Frankly, I think they’ve received more press than they deserve but observing the opposition is nevertheless a valuable window on Trump’s success. Just to frame this, I ran across a piece from the Davos conference happening this week where Trump appeared virtually and told the globalist world how the world’s business would be conducted during his administration. The Davos mood was muted, almost compliant, perhaps reflecting the reality that if the US doesn’t play into their program, they’re incapable of a program on their own, (or just broke). The author was reflecting on the miraculous almost mythical political resurrection of Trump but stopped short to also say that his victories reflected on them, the world’s global elite. Was this an admission that maybe they overplayed their hand or didn’t read the room right? Well of course, yes, but even in that self-reflection, they still missed the biggest player in this historic paradigm, the American voter. Even this group must be qualified because not all elections are equal. Real America finally spoke and was heard through a real election because the Democrat opposition collapsed into itself by believing their own lies, proffering a grossly underqualified administration and candidate, victims of their own DEI illusions. The magnitude of this failure made their own election fraud program moot, causing the American voter to finally be heard.
Because of Trump’s comprehensive and complete exercise of constitutional power, the opposition has been reduced to ankle biting resistance. A few instances are worth mentioning because they’ll tie into more and future resistance.
The Inaugural church service was presided over by a political activist posing as a priest cleric. She enunciated the sentiments of the left under the guise of ecclesiastical authority. In a week of abject defeat for the Progressive platform, she became their spokes-human. Simultaneously, in the din of public reaction, I detect a shift that says this charade of roles is no longer acceptable. If Bishop Mariann Budde wants to roll in the streets with woke trans hustlers and illegal alien felons, she can and should take the gospel to them, but it’s no longer acceptable to act like they are your gospel.
A great hubbub was made over a spit-second camera capture of Elon Musk’s outstretched arm, vaguely resembling a Nazi salute, by ignoring all context. Unsurprisingly, every major lefty pol that’s ever given an animated speech has been caught in the same ‘salute’. What this teaches us is the desperate depravity of a defeated ideology. It wasn’t worth a minute of news time but it’s all that the Progressive Antifa types had to hold onto this week. Furthermore, when Trump seems unstoppable, Elon Musk and others like him attract mass anger. I think Musk is used to it.
Among all the other earth-shattering news this week, Trump announced he’s releasing the assassination files regarding, the Kennedy’s, JFK and RFK, and also Martin Luther King. One would think these families would be happy for buried truth to come out but apparently there are reservations. The reaction of the Kennedy clan here and really, during the whole election cycle, has been almost uniformly negative toward Trump essentially doing them favors by resurrecting a small part of their political dynasty by bringing RFK Jr into his administration and now, bringing some open-air justice to the cloak of secrecy made by the Deep State that killed their two most famous sons. Instead, the whole lot of them prefers to kiss the ass of all that is the now manifestly failed Democrat circus. Sad.

We’re in historic territory right now and this writing does not do it justice at all. But anything is better than silence here.
