I endeavored to stay away from commentary that would require naming officials and citing fast moving events. The shelf life on these is usually about 12 hours or less, nevertheless, a few things have to be said, for future I-told-you-so’s.
Obama has committed what may be a first in modern presidential history; not just staying away from a succeeding administration, not just being a vocal critic of the administration following his own, not just meddling around the margins, but rather, running a (the) full-scale ‘deep-state’ enterprise to oust Trump, cloud his administration with failures and wrestle the next (re)election from him. How do you spell ‘paper trail’?Witness the spate of desperate news releases trying to divert attention away from the bottleneck of documents and details that are being released in the aftermath of exonerating Michael Flynn. Flynn was not a collateral casualty as I had supposed all along, but a strategic target.
What will happen now? (After all, I am into predictions). Four things in general:
One) I expect eventual indictments against a few that cannot find sufficient immunity behind their past offices held.
Two) Obama is thusly shielded or so I assume, but his role will breech the need to inquire of constitutional law. Furthermore, his legacy will have some kind of tarnish equivalent to impeachment but yet there is no model for behaviors such as his since such crimes have never been committed in America.
(Three) Biden was a participant. Perhaps he was the indifferent, distracted, senescing VP that he is now as a candidate. It doesn’t matter. Biden and Obama are one on this issue. The effect on the election will not be a singular bombshell. Instead, it will be like the contents of the Hillary [wiki-leaked] emails that slow-dripped day after day for weeks prior to the election; little grenades constantly going off in the background, rattling the swing votes. Expect that here. No surprise here, but no way that Michelle Obama will take the VP running mate position. She too is tainted.
(Four) The overwhelmingly pro-Obama media cabal will install a daily counterassault of distracting antagonistic news to divert attention from every aspect of the investigation picking up steam. Worry not. The gears of law will grind on. The only thing that will stop it is the conclusion of Trump’s Presidency. It isn’t guaranteed at all, but this will figure into it.
What will not happen? The left will not acquiesce, neither will the main-stream media. They will fight to the bitter end. The Democrat base will not move one bit. It is war.
