One of the things that really frustrates me as I read conservative media is the lack of content demonstrating any tactical engagement for the reader. The best-case scenario is if and when a legislator occasionally stands up for truth and conservative standards but beyond that, you’d think we’re powerless. I’m sick of reading idle laments and hand wringing. Consequently, I’m here to offer my own suggestions; not the end all and be all by any stretch but the average reader should not have to stand limp and dumb while the least disciplined cousins beyond the tribe grab headlines and most leaders simply intone. Maybe a lot of this isn’t new, but it needs to be said now, more than ever, suggestions for individual activist. I wrote a similar essay on this theme recently but this one may be even more geared toward a single individual, even if you rarely interact with others. What would a really aggressive backlash against the new regime really look like if millions of individuals actually decided to do something about it at the same time? Upon the occasion of the Biden regime beginning, here are some things you can do:
- Ditch all big media news: This is the single biggest thing you can do to the regime. To turn a phrase uttered by Pelosi, ‘people’, in this case, Biden and congress, ‘are going to do what they are going to do’. God help conservatives to stand up to it, but you don’t have to be brainwashed into accepting a narrative where the fascist left reaches into your home, your smartphone, and demonizes you for standing against their re-engineering of America into a wokeocracy. Numbers sting. They won’t tell you that in the evening news, but numbers are the bread and butter that fuels their paychecks. Even now, Fox news is getting a hard lesson in the traitor department. Big Media has lost traction for decades but now’s the time to put them into the ropes. Turn off ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, CNN. Stop reading anything from the NYT, Washington Post, USA Today and every other major ‘legacy’ paper from a major metropolitan area. Watch and or read Newsmax, Bongino, Revolver, and numerous others. By all means, swarm to Parler when it reopens as I believe it eventually will. If you want to go deeper than mainstream news on a more academic level, you’re probably already avoiding mainstream news anyway, except for cultural reference.
- Diversify your social media: It would be unrealistic to suggest ditching social media altogether. That might now be akin to asking you to ditch cars because they’re increasingly hardwired into ‘the cloud’; impossible. You can; however, modify your behavior on social media and diversify the apps that you use. Share no personal information about yourself, especially medical. Do not click on any ads. In the profile sections, fill it with gibberish. Subscribe to two or three new apps even if you don’t use them at first. Facebook is cracking down, trying to cash in on its ubiquitous status and further control you and your speech. There is not yet a really good alternative to Facebook, but there will be, sooner than you think. You may think that Facebook is the end all and be all and that no one will ever be able to build another universal app. Not true; there are another generation of Internet based apps coming wherein you will truly own your own data [future discussion on NER]. Unless the Internet is totally blown up, it will put Mark Zuckerberg out of business as he knows it now.
- Use a different search engine: Google now totally controls the reality you see on the web. They suppress what they don’t want you to see and push what they do want you to see. Google is now Joseph Goebbels. Download Duck Duck Go or Brave. You may not need it to look up a recipe but if you’re looking for any hard facts of social or political importance, a different browser is essential.
- Be on standby to burn your party affiliation: Depending on the state you live in, changing parties may exclude you from the primary process but if your party has left you and the primary candidates present you with only more compromised insider establishment failure, what do you have to lose? Changing your affiliation to Independent does not deprive you of a vote, it only lessens the power of the establishment parties from counting on your support without working for it. A Republican or Democrat candidate cannot take an unaffiliated vote for granted in the same way they do an insider. If the Republican party rejects conservatism, reject them. The only caveat here is if you desire to be active in a party system to steer it toward conservatism, be my guest. Otherwise, be ready to leave.
- Ditch woke colleges and schools: Do not sacrifice your child/young adult and your life savings to the idol of an education that is really only indoctrination, particularly as an undergrad. You have a choice. You or your kid might think it’s noble to try to stand in the face of such opposition, but if you fail, there will be lifelong consequences for their conversion into a neo-racist – Leninist hateful automaton. Academia conquered America over the past generation and they did it while soaking up Mom and Dad’s legacy money at a rate far above the inflation rate. Find the schools that are too busy teaching real knowledge that they don’t have time for woke.
- Ditch your woke church: Literally hundreds of millions of people have already ditched churches that in the past two generations, compromised their spiritual calling to a secular mission under the pretense of social justice. Every city is dotted with the shells of those empty churches made into apartments, social halls, breweries, and shops. So even now, there are evangelical congregations making the same mistake all over again because their younger demographic base demands it and the hapless leadership must deliver to, as they feel, to ‘stay in the game’. Let it go, go elsewhere
- Use humor: The most relevant website in the year 2020 was Babylon Bee, a Christian parody site that delivered the straightest news of any outlet under the guise of humor that covered the truth in the most scantily clad faux ‘facts’ imaginable. I laughed a lot even as some hard news folk got entirely sweaty under the collar to the point of at least two attempted bans – on parody! Adopt activism that uses humor as its cutting edge. You’ll quickly find that your antagonist not only don’t share your sense of humor, but they are also befuddled by it. Be merciless and outrageous.
Now just one thing that I’d propose doing corporately as a mass protest: An organized ban-a-thon that would force Twitter and Facebook to have to simultaneously ban perhaps 50 million + users, and after that shake up, then do it again. The message would have to be organized and scripted to a.) actually incite a ban, and b.) not be actually hateful or ignorant, but yet c.) would highlight the absurdity that Facebook/Twitter has stooped to in order to control and censor you. The premise here is that in the long run, Big Tech may actually be more damaging to your liberties than progressive government. Progressive government has to at least go back to the ballot box every year or every other year; no such accountability exists with Big Tech.
