We need to do a spot check on Europe, NATO, Putin and Ukraine. Trump is on the verge of making peace happen in the war between Russia and Ukraine. That has a lot of people alarmed; ironically. The broadbrush uptick is this: nobody got anything, both get out of an unwinnable war which may be the only way – ultimately – that both leaders have a chance at further longevity in power and most importantly, the globalists that are dying to keep the show going do not get what they want. Meanwhile, Vice President Vance just went over and read the Euro-leadership the riot act. They are not pleased. At all. The Germans roundly denounced it, and Macron is calling an emergency meeting. The message delivered as per my interpretation: buckle up tender buttercups and get ready to grow a pair and spend the money necessary to defend yourself, and by the way, stop acting like the little fascist that you accuse your opposition of being and let them have a voice. And yes, tariffs are coming because you people have been on the gravy train too long but there’s a new sheriff in town and he isn’t letting America bend over for you anymore. Any questions?
The modern iteration of most of modern Europe is staunchly globalist, beholden to the WEF and other non-elected bodies, dedicated to self-emasculation and open borders over the stabbed and run over bodies of their own citizenry that are protesting massive immigration and lost national identity. They are greatly neurotic and illogical, stripping themselves of all energy production and yet they can’t figure out why they’re forced to buy it from Russia and Putin whom they loathe. Instead, they’re like babies in the nursery that refuse to grow up and want the US taxpayer to continue subsidizing their juvenile lack of responsibility through unfair trade and direct subsidies, especially via our military protection and outsized contribution to NATO. What is especially galling is that they’re quickly becoming the totalitarian despots they were once liberated from, uptight and Orwellian. Hint: you can’t protest your Orwellian government if Orwell is banned or confiscated. Why would we potentially send our boys to fight in a war over there that they don’t have the balls to fight themselves, neither they nor their new immigrant waves of squatters, and all this to defend values that are diametrically opposite to our own constitutional rights and privileges?
All this to say, they don’t know how badly they need Vance and his message he just dropped on their soft heads. Is Putin still your existential threat? Not compared to your own hyper-liberal weakness and plunging birthrates. Who needs enemies like Putin when you have yourself to blame for all that ails you? Message to the EU: Putin won’t bother you if you’re not weak broke cowards that don’t have the wherewithal to keep your own lights on. Spend some more money on missiles instead of 6 weeks of vacation and early retirement for all. Putin understands the language of missiles. He also greatly appreciates all the Euros you send him. Wake up and smell the coffee of our re-evaluating why NATO may or may not even still be relevant. A lot of your people would love to have their own version of a Trump, a prospect you better get used to because ultimately, they will get the governance they want, with or without your cooperation.
