I’m not sure why but there are certain people that attract my attention more than they deserve at face value, meaning, they’re not really that important yet important enough to show up in certain headlines. One of those guys is David Hogg, lefty boy that leveraged his victimhood of surviving a school shooting all the way to becoming a co-chair in the DNC, ostensibly to attract younger voters like himself that are suddenly running from the Democrats in droves, especially the young men. He’s subsequently being railroaded out of that position for challenging his elders and threatening an internal purge, a whole topic in and of itself, but I have a different focus here. I can say we have a mutual interest. He wants to influence his young male peers. I have a segment of my writings here on NER that focuses on young men, thus our mutual interest.
Hogg’s grand idea for attracting his friends and peers is sex and partying. I can verify that maybe he’s on to something here since traditionally at least, men have indeed been preoccupied with both. Is this the path forward for his friends and cohort? Surprisingly, I haven’t seen much comment on this aspect other than blanket, not so specific mocking on X, but I think there are a few points worth considering here.
First, all of this could be interpreted as: David Hogg wants to get laid more. Why? He’s not exactly the picture of protein driven masculinity. I wonder if he’s aware that he looks like, at least, the stereotypical soy-boy. Big head on a juvenile body. I sadly have to confess, I bullied a few of my classmates like that long ago in my distant past high school days. One would think that if David wanted to attract more young men to his cause, he’s eat big greasy burgers more often and maybe go to the gym once in awhile. As he is now, he isn’t exactly the babe magnet that most people envision. Instead, he’s a weenie trying to weenie and whine some bros to follow his example, which leads to a second problem.
Goading and inviting young white men to a place of getting hen pecked by screaming activist leftist women that mostly just hate men, and also, inviting them to a party that’s forcefully pushing trannies in everyone’s face, insist that everything must be gay, guarantees that white men will never ever be seriously considered for a job in certain prominent company types and institutions is not….exactly….a winning formula. What sorry state of a white man would find that appealing?
Another problem, Gen Z men don’t want sex nearly as much as previous generations and the reasons why are deep, pervasive, and trending worse. First, all that a lot of them want to do is game and live in their parent’s basement and if they engage sex in anyway, it’s to masturbate to porn, alone. They are becoming deeply unsocialized due to digital isolation and are afraid to engage with real women. They are becoming very much aware of significant systemic economic dynamics stacked against them and all the human endeavors like marriage and kids, that require an economic platform look hopeless to a lot of them. It’s much harder to even afford to drive. College is a debt trap with dubious return at the end. A house seems like a mythical attainment. The ladies that go off to get a liberal education come back indoctrinated against men, have unrealistic expectations, are not prepared to reciprocate in relationships, and accumulate ‘a history’ that disqualifies them in the eyes of a lot of men. So what is there to work for here?
Last, getting back to David Hogg, what exactly was he proposing to rope the young men in to his cause? If he’s going to help guys get laid, who is going to do the laying? Did it ever occur to him that he’s proposing a mass pimping out of young Democrat women to sacrifice themselves for progressive leftist glory? Do these young ladies even want that? Let me guess, no one even asked them. And no, aside from a few enterprising courtesans, leftist women don’t want to sleep with Trumpers, not even to convert them to being a sappy beta leftist dweeb. Plus there’s that whole feminist me-too thing still floating around in their people group; the kind that regards all sex as rape, the kind that say yes today and rape tomorrow, even a few that think a live birth is rape from the inside out. These are hardly the kind that’ll accommodate David Hogg’s dream of a hedonistic orgy for leftwing bros.
Besides, maybe Hogg is not aware that conservatives already have a lot more and better sex than liberals, amazing but true.
