Many people expect Donald Trump to announce a 2024 run very soon. Leading up to this, I’ve been surprised at the ‘friendly’ voices that have wavered and muddied the waters about a Trump run about his ongoing fight over 2020. Some are respected commentators, and they say some things like this: ‘We like Trump, but it’s hard to follow someone that can’t let go of 2020. This is really a problem for him.’ These esteemed folks are letting their own inner squeamish doubts out more so than applying hard analysis to what Trump says. I’d suggest they embrace Trumps 2020 concerns but only in the way that Trump embraces them. These I find legitimate. I’ll give you some reasons:
- Have you noticed the hateful and rabid degree to which Trumps adversarial opposites still harp on Trumps ‘obsession’ with 2020? Have you noticed that they still always refer to it with the term – ‘big lie’ or ‘Trump’s big lie’? Instead of calling it Trump’s ‘allegation’, ‘charge’, ‘theory’, ‘complaint’, etc., terms which would be more accurate yet still afford them the opportunity to deny his conclusion. These people have instead consistently chosen to characterize his 2020 stand as a ‘lie’, an entirely misfitting intransitive verb. To characterize his position this way even back as a far as pre-inauguration is and has always been a maneuver to avoid any trial of facts or cross-examination and especially, to enforce that stonewall of an allegation among people that might deviate from the party line and consider a knowledgeable judicious review of Trump’s concerns. It was a massively successful social play to set a standard: nothing to see here, or else; because the ‘lie’ statement indeed does come with a threat. Consider the matter still open and you too will be tarred and feathered with the same extreme kook-goo that we’re painting on Trump and his most ‘deranged’ followers. The position of absolute denial of Trump’s election concerns is also necessary to carry on the systematic aggression against Trump for what ocurred January 6th. Trump’s wavering friends in high places should consider why all of this is still so important to his enemies to maintain, even today.
- The ones that really can’t let it go are the January 6 tribunals. Lest anyone be Pollyanna enough to claim these were for fact finding or justice, witness Liz Cheney’s recent admission that these are essential to see that Trump never holds office again (and of course she fancies a run herself). The process has become a bad parody when it’s dedicated to one side and one conclusion. Expect these to play up until November 3rd. Wait for their reckless desperate grand finale’, the final swan song on the eve of the election. It will be a sight to behold.
- Because yes, there was election cheating. A few convictions are now on the books, ballot harvesting did indeed occur, and some significant schemes that were pushed through as legal at the time have since been declared illegal. But these are the all the small potatoes. States and even the Supreme Court declined to hear all of the bigger cases in the short window between the election and the electoral count. These denials were based on ‘standing’ and ‘jurisdiction’. This does not comprise a validation of the objections to Trump. A considerable number of the cheating allegations were never presented or cross examined in a court.
- It should go without saying that there was a great deal of rot and corruption in our election process even apart from the 2020 Presidential election. This was not your grandparent’s version of fraud, digging up dead people’s votes. There was wide scale ballot harvesting that some operatives openly bragged about. We have baskets of tampered, undated, and photo-copied ballots. There are unsecured voting machines with unprotected back door access. The Democrats have fought ruthlessly for unlimited voting by legally unqualified individuals, in the name of equity and justice, even to the point of pushing through voting by non-US citizens. Some state legislatures have amended these, and yet crooked Soros backed judges keep trying to pry open and nullify the loophole fixes. We have nothing yet close to secure elections. 2020 destroyed the credibility of most elections going forward. Trump is absolutely right to keep pointing out the failures of 2020, many of which remain unresolved. Anyone that thinks this is alarmism has their head deep in the sand.
- The people that blast Trump over holding onto the 2020 election act as though he intends to ride into DC on his white horse and re-establish his rightful 2020 term. This belief, direct or implied is far more fanciful than anything actually declared by Trump and they use their own pretend and projected hogwash to tar Trump.
The left and the deep state fears Donald Trump in a manner I don’t believe has any moderate precedent in US history. And for what? If you’re invested in the Socialist takeover of the United States or in any of the deep layers of cronyism that will inevitably come with it, you have everything to fear in Donald Trump. Everything. But don’t pretend to be a ‘moderate’, all ashamed at some lack of decorum missing from Trump. We’re way past the point where any of that matters and even if it did, Biden makes Trump look like Ronald Reagan, Abraham Lincoln or George Washington.
So where exactly is Trump focusing? He’s working on what I believe was his greatest weakness during his term of office which was trusting untrustworthy players within his own administration and party. IF he’s going to move forward with a run, it will be with a wide base of support from a congress that stood by him when it counted. It’s better to have a small majority that supports you than the wide support of backstabbers.
