While most people run from anything that smacks of ‘conspiracy theory’, and while others swallow them whole without question, there is a third way that should be embraced. A conspiracy theory is a hypothesis that warrants further investigation. In fact, the definition of hypothesis states: ‘a supposition or proposed explanation made on the basis of limited evidence as a starting point for further investigation’*. The scene of a crime in Uvalde Texas requires further urgent investigation, but not just of the young perpetrator of the school shooting there. The responses of the local police responsible for intervening in the shooting do not add up. There is a coverup in progress. What is being purposely hidden is the subject of the ‘conspiracy theory’.
At this time, I propose no specific wrongdoing, only that it is there. The conduct of the local responding police force at the Uvalde school did not add up as they stood by and allowed children and teachers to be slaughtered. They’ve offered their explanations that nevertheless still left them looking like hapless cowards, but I believe those explanations are insufficient. They ‘thought’; they were dealing with a hostage situation but no negotiations transpired. What did transpire were shots ringing out as yet another kid, one after the other was murdered. Police Chief Pete Arrendondo had no radio and apparently, no others close by to inform him of the 911 calls from inside the school that should have been directed to him by the call center or from the other police agency receiving them in error and should have been routing them to anyone on site. All of that strains credibility to breaking. The police force had a swat team and had trained on site at that school earlier. The police captain did not cooperate with investigators after the massacre and is to this day evading cross examination. These are just the most prominent instances of dereliction and do not even address the police force’s treatment of parents and other first responders.
Presently, to the extent that its even still a news story, treatment of these irregularities by the press are being handled almost apologetically, as if the Uvalde police were co-victims that need more time to adjust.
I would suggest that a.) there is a cover up in progress b.) That the Uvalde Police department in general and Police Chief Pete Arrendondo in particular are complicit in the actual shooting c) There are causes, motives, and possibly individuals that go beyond just a disturbed high-school dropout that snapped.
Who?
